Connected to my Surface Pro 7. I have a Surface Dock with two Mini DisplayPort outputs. They worked but had strange limitations. For example, two of my monitors support 144Hz, but with a Surface Dock I only get 60Hz. With one of my monitors connected to it that plugs into my USB-C Surface port, I can now get 144Hz on that monitor as well as HDR support received in Windows. This effectively allows both monitors to run at 99Hz when one is docked and the other is using that dongle. A definite improvement.
