DO NOT use for VR headset

I tried this for the HP Reverb G2 Omnicept headset on a laptop and it didn't work. I found an alternative for this specific purpose that worked great. I'm sure this works great for what it's advertised for, but VR isn't good for that.

Small but strong and flexible

I like this product because it allows me to connect my device to a video device to show my photos, read them on a screen bigger than my phone is, and it is small but durable and flexible. I can't help but make a recommendation based on these issues alone. But Cust also has excellent service and comfort. It fits in my pocket and I can easily take my phone or laptop with me. New Samsung 360 (amazing viewing experience. Thank you.

Works with 3440 x 1440 monitor

I have a 3440 x 1440 ultra wide monitor that comes with a DP to DP cable and I can confirm that this DP to USB-C -Can display adapter properly with my 2018 MacBook to monitor. I've tried *many* HDMI cables before that didn't work with an ultrawide monitor and kept showing stretched rectangular pixels. So I'm very happy that this adapter and the included DP cable were able to display the pixels correctly.

They have great customer service

I bought this adapter but unfortunately I had a problem getting my DisplayPort 1.4 display to work. When I emailed their customer support, they tried to help with everything. maybe, but once we confirmed that the adapter was defective, I was given the option of an exchange or my money back. Although I can't return the adapter to exchange it for a new one (due to my location situation), they still gave me a full refund. They have an amazing customer service team and really care about their…

Worked with my gear

This adapter worked well with my gear. I have an old Displayport monitor and I want to use it with my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" and 2019 MacBook Pro (both with USB-C ports). It was pretty easy - plug the USB-C end into mine device and use a displayport to displayport cable from this adapter to the monitor.Everything worked as it should. The only thing I couldn't test is the high speed capabilities of the 8K adapter as I don't have anything that sends 8K content or can display.

Pros
  • 8K HDR DisplayPort to USB C Adapter
Cons
  • not reliable

Great hardware, the best of computer cable adapters

Connected to my Surface Pro 7. I have a Surface Dock with two Mini DisplayPort outputs. They worked but had strange limitations. For example, two of my monitors support 144Hz, but with a Surface Dock I only get 60Hz. With one of my monitors connected to it that plugs into my USB-C Surface port, I can now get 144Hz on that monitor as well as HDR support received in Windows. This effectively allows both monitors to run at 99Hz when one is docked and the other is using that dongle. A definite…

Shows up as "Billboard " and won't let you connect to HP Reverb G2

I bought it because I want full bandwidth Virtual Reality with a 1.4 display Port wanted to experience what only my computer offers through the Thunderbolt/usb4 port. Unfortunately, every time I plug it in, the system comes back with a 1-4 error saying it can't see or read my device. Try it on a friend's computer, same thing. I'm assuming it can't support anything other than a display that isn't mentioned in the item descriptions. Tried connecting an 8k TV today and that didn't work either…

  • HIGH PERFORMANCE
