I've only had this for a few weeks but I'm hoping it will last a long while. The toaster is a nice size and doesnt take up much counter space when in use. I really like the no nonsense style. Too many kitchen appliances are starting to look and act like airplane cockpits. I just wanted a minimal design that toasted bread .thats it! I previously had a "well known" brand 4 slice toaster prior to this one and after about 6 months it started toasting one side darker than the other. I got tired of the "guess what color the toast will be" game and tossed it. The tobox toaster comes with a picture guide of toast at the different settings, so you have a basis to start with. Slots are wide and easily accomodate a bagel. Only thing I would change, would be to add a little something for more heat resistance at the top. It gets quite hot to the touch. Fortunately I have a set of wooden tongs which helps.
