I placed it near our home, we are about ten miles from most TV towers. It is believed that there are about twenty stations within about thirty miles. I only managed to get a few and they were blotchy and the image stripes disappeared. I used to have direct tv until the operators were covered, $168.90 a month, they said if I subscribe to their phone service and buy smartphones I get a discount on the tv service. I see no point in paying a few hundred more. If you have an antenna that performs better and you are returning that antenna for an exchange I would exchange it and pay the difference, if not I will just attribute it to my experience. I installed the main channel antennas in the late fifties and they worked great. I understand TVs are different now, but given the much shorter distance, this should work. Thank you James White.
