Attach to the back of your hat in case it gets blown away by the wind or while boating. The clips are plastic and feel a bit flimsy as others have said. So if you use a clip on the back of a hat they can actually break with heavy use. As a chin strap I find it pretty good. I ordered in May and only received it in July and I understand what's going on now and don't mind being patient with the delivery. However, I've been waiting for a response to my missing item request for over a week, so an unresponsive support team downgraded my score to three. Since I need another one for another hat and will be traveling soon, I will order another one with metal clips.
