I shouldn't have worried about buying a device with a hard plastic body instead of a metal body. It's durable, easy to use, and feels like it's built to last. It was easy to install. I installed it seven feet off the ground on the wall above the air compressor and it was a little awkward to do it myself due to the heavy weight of the unit. The only issue I had was that the first time I pulled the hose out it got stuck after about 16 feet. I pulled as tight as I thought fit, then stood up and peered into the device. Whoever loaded the hose at the factory didn't make sure it went smoothly and the hose wound onto a mandrel. As soon as I pulled the hose away from under me, the process went much better. The automatic reverse should clear the hose jam. Other reviewers agreed: Hold the hose tightly as you retract - autoguiding works more efficiently when the hose is fed more slowly.
