Review on ๐ŸŽง Jabra Elite 85t True Wireless Earbuds: Advanced Noise-Cancelling, Superior Sound, and Premium Comfort - Copper Black by Paul Randall

Not that bad, best with headphones

Update 11/04/2020. To eliminate the seemingly poor ANC I switched to a larger earbud and what a difference. ANC is actually pretty good right now. For the first time I've had to use a large ear tip on any of my previous headphones, including the 75t and 65t. The large earbud hurts my left ear after a while, so for me it's a compromise between comfort and active noise cancellation. By playing with the EQ settings I was able to improve the sound enough that the difference with the Bose isn't as big as it first seemed. - Multipoint connectivity is incredible. It's like magic and you don't really appreciate it until you switch between multiple devices and really need to feel the difference in the experience compared to other headphones that require you to manually disconnect from one device and connect to another first. These headphones connect very quickly. . They're usually already connected when you put them in your ear. This isn't usually a big deal, but in today's world of remote work it can sometimes be the icing on the cake - wind noise is still an issue, as it was with previous Jabra headphones, even with ANC engaged. They advertise wind mics, but they don't seem to make things much better. Maybe this will be improved in a future firmware update. Original Review: ----------- Pros: Compact size, no tight ear feeling. Can't hear my footsteps and chewing like I have with previous Jabra headphones - good sound - connects to multiple devices at once (a big plus when working from home) - wireless charging I also have Bose QC -Earbuds, so my cons are mostly relatively performance-wise The ones I get from Bose: Con-ANC doesn't even come close to the Bose QC headphones. Maybe ANC is good, but the open-hole design lets through too much sound. While the sound is good when I switch between Jabra and Bose, the difference in quality is striking. Bose delivers a richer, more majestic sound. It's hard to explain, but when I put the Jabras on I love every song that plays. When I put the Bose on, the rich sound makes you want to listen more - phone calls still pick up a bunch of background noise. Bose QC headphones for comparison. The ANC isn't even close. With Bose, it looks like you've stepped into a soundproof chamber. Jabras only seem to muffle the sound. And while the sound is good, it doesn't compare to Bose. I really wanted to like them because the Bose case is ridiculously large, but Bose outclassed the Jabra in every other category.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
