People that rate this bad don’t know how they are suppose to work. The more dense the metal is, the more powerful the magnet is. If you place a wrench on the magnet for example, it’s easy to get off. Attach it to a metal vise on your work bench. good luckTwo things I would change: the carabiner is a little weak. And I would include a plug for the flat sides when using the top eyelet in the water.This is a great price.

Pretty powerful magnet. Rusted after one salt water outing.
