Perhaps this is a product you pay for what you get. Fresh out of the box as soon as I plugged it into my laptop it made a high pitched sound. It's not the loudest noise, and I barely hear it when I'm wearing headphones and/or playing videos. But with no barrier to my ears or any distraction, it's loud enough that I have some regrets about purchasing this product. Otherwise audio and video 4/5.
