It was a bit of a challenge to finally get a real stainless steel Herm Sprenger Prong Training Collar from all the options on this page. I wasn't aware of the product, my dog trainer said the unnamed spiked collar someone gave me was a cheap knockoff with "sharp ends" on the spikes and told me to get a Herm Sprenger collar with blunt ends obtain. The advert for the first one I ordered said it was a Herm Sprenger (and I just assumed they were all stainless, my fault) and it turned out to be a chrome Herm Sprenger (they make both), so I returned it. . After visiting Herm Sprenger's website (it's in German but you can choose English), I learned how to tell if it's real stainless steel by looking at the markings in the details of the collar, which helped me in my choice this collar helped. In the description of the ad, the thickness of the teeth is incorrect. If you go to the website you will see that the chrome pins are thicker than advertised, but the stainless steel pins are lighter (so the advert is misleading). I'm very glad I returned the wrong one - this one was worth the research and hassle. The HS website was very clear on how to say it. So if you want the original, go there first. :)
