Review on 🔪 SOLUDE Precision Carpentry Woodworking Tools - Enhanced Sharpening for Carpenters by Josh Sharp

A set of well made chisels made from hardened chrome vanadium steel. Chisels are sharpened on the machine at an angle of about 30 degrees. The edge is not as thin as high quality hand-sharpened Japanese blades, but you can sharpen it yourself to a very thin edge if you wish. You will need a 1000 and 2000 grit stone for this. The alloy steel shank is about 3/8 inch thick. The grips are synthetic but comfortable and durable. The shank runs straight through the handle and ends with a button for hammering the chisel with a hammer. Sizes range from 0.25" to 1.5" in quarter inch increments. They come in a beautiful case containing additional accessories including a reversible coarse/medium grit whetstone, sharpening guide, wood marker pens and utility knife. It gives you everything you need to maintain the set except water and sharpening oil. This set is not as refined as Japanese steel chisels with hardwood handles. It's good for rough carving though, and definitely good for door lock slots, point planing, planing wood to size, slotting, etc. I suggest using these for rough work and then using your good quality finishing tools. Overall, I am very satisfied with this wood chisel set and can only recommend it.
