Review on 🔗 Gates 22498 Reinforced Hose by Ryan Rea

Replaced top and bottom with 2004 Forester XT. Top with Gates 20953. Other reviews have complained that it doesn't fit well but the bottom needs to be trimmed just like the top. Cut both ends properly. There is no science. You make these cuts one at a time and work until you get a snug fit. Once done right, it fits perfectly. The hose is thicker and seems more durable than the OE. In addition, the original hose clamps are not suitable. And I've always replaced them with worm drives with better liners like brise liners.
