Fits FXT 2004. Trimming required.

Replaced top and bottom with 2004 Forester XT. Top with Gates 20953. Other reviews have complained that it doesn't fit well but the bottom needs to be trimmed just like the top. Cut both ends properly. There is no science. You make these cuts one at a time and work until you get a snug fit. Once done right, it fits perfectly. The hose is thicker and seems more durable than the OE. In addition, the original hose clamps are not suitable. And I've always replaced them with worm drives with betterโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EPDM hose; Reinforcement with synthetic fiber; heat, ozone and chemical resistant EPDM coating
Cons
  • Modern

Fits 06 Forester for spare parts

Fits 2006 Forester. This is a versatile piece and requires a few inches of trim on each side. Very easy to cut and install. Also good quality

Pros
  • Preformed for perfect tightness
Cons
  • Small parts

Great product Great price

Works great and fits my 2007 Subaru Forester perfectly. This hose is thicker and of higher quality than the original hose installed by the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Conforms to SAE 20R4 class D2 and DIN 73411 class A (except approvals)
Cons
  • old

like other reviews here

This hose meets Gates quality expectations. . . However, like the other reviews here, it's too long on both ends (by about an inch and a half) for a 2007 Forester. But even after trimming to the correct length, it is also THICKER than the original hose and as such OEM clamps are difficult to reattach at best once the hose is in place. It is necessary to have a set of screw clamps ready.

Pros
  • Specially engineered materials resist collapsing in vacuum
Cons
  • Weight
