I read all the reviews and was very concerned that my house might burn down. After spending a lot of time researching and browsing the manufacturer's website, I purchased 5 cats for my family. It is very important that nothing is above or too close to the socket. You must use an empty wall. Hard to find in my house but I have one. My cats are really reassured. This becomes clearer when I run out of beneficial power. My cats are prone to anxiety and will take a few weeks to settle down. I recommend it for a family with several cats and be careful where you plug it in. They give you the specs on the website. So read it and understand it before you use it. I've bought several refills and they've been working great for a few months. No problem.
