I'm very skeptical about kitchen helpers. Most of them do not work or work only marginally. This is probably one of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever bought. Construction is solid. It is very easy to cut pineapple with it. From the moment I place the pineapple on the cutting board to the moment it is sliced and placed in containers takes about 3 minutes. The only complaint I have is that the pineapple gets stuck in some of the thumbtacks on the cutting end. But it's pretty easy to clean with the toothbrush I keep on the kitchen sink for stuff like this. If you are looking for an inexpensive and durable pineapple corer, then this product is for you!
