I'll start with the many things this monitor has to offer: amazing color accuracy and HDR for gaming. not the highest specs you typically see on creative panels, but still very sharp 4k and a high refresh rate of up to 1000! The monitor hood is way more useful than I thought. Eliminates glare and peripheral reflections. Speaking of glare, the IPS panel copes very well with it and is only slightly disturbed by direct and strong light. The stand has all the swivel and tilt options you could want. 144Hz with two DP cables (the refresh rate is 120Hz without that, which is fine with me), low latency VRB or G Sync. Marketing lists them all but doesn't make it clear that you only have to pick one. I had a bit of time tweaking the settings to get things right, but in the end I chose g Sync as I prioritize the smoothest, most consistent experience. A competitive gamer might opt for the extra 24 fps or the reduced latency, but I mainly play RPGs. Overall, it's not the biggest deal at this price point, but a little more marketing clarity would go a long way. That's the main reason I had to deduct a star from the perfect monitor. I'm still very happy with my purchase, but misleading marketing, whether intentional or not, doesn't help anyone. less cheaters and more attention, the panel had a pretty horrible IPS glow when I got it, with every corner really emitting a lot of light when the screen was dark or black. I decided not to return due to the hassle and hoped it would either adjust or become more bearable. I can say with confidence that it started to fade after about 2 weeks and is now barely noticeable. I think it has something to do with some IPS panels breaking. So if you see this on your screen, rest assured it's probably going to burn out pretty quickly. I really like the stand features, but the very long and angular metal handles are a horror on a desktop. I prefer the flat mount that Asus uses for many of their monitors as it gives the same result in a much smaller desk space. The stand works very well and is as stable as it gets, so I can't get too excited about it, but it's just another small detail that keeps me from saying this monitor is perfect. with HDR and gsync OR low latency and want a better price, I would happily recommend this monitor. The issues I have are more than offset and justified by the absurdly low (relative) cost of this monitor. unless you have an extra $500 or more in your pocket to get an even higher quality monitor, that's your monitor
