I think my dog might not like it but I sure do. I've bought so many things for this dog that don't really work. OR they work first and then the dog seems to get used to it and stop worrying when it barks and gets a shock or big surprise. This collar with buzzer is easy to check if it works, set it up in different ways depending on the dog and the noise around him, what he can tolerate and what will catch his attention and make him shut up. My dog is a Chihuahua and she just loves to bark. This collar works very well so far, and it can drop at different levels, so it's constantly surprising. It makes my life a lot easier. UPDATE: 36 hours. after. Pay attention to the instructions - the part about not leaving the collar on the dog more than 12 hours a day. I missed it and my loving Chihuahua almost bit me when I touched the side of his body where he was in a sort of panic. He usually wants to be where I am, preferably on my lap or sleeping with me. He didn't want anything to do with me and I had to take his collar off very carefully and not bite him. He never bit anyone - he loves everyone. It was terrible. I will only use it in the evenings when the barking is at its strongest and can get us in trouble. When he is ready for bed, he breaks off.
