I'm sure this wire is good for the right application but DO NOT buy this wire if you intend to hang and support string lights. Revain recommended this product to me along with the Globe String Lights I purchased and I couldn't recommend this wire less for the job. If you don't unwind this wire extra carefully, it will become tangled and twisted. Once the wire is tangled and twisted, it's nearly impossible to straighten. Braided wire is the best wire for string lights or any application that requires tension relief with a turnbuckle or change of direction. I ended up using 16 gauge braided wire for my project and it worked great.
