Transparent for original parts. Grainless. Neutral. Balanced. Does what the cable is supposed to do. There were high frequencies - particularly on acoustic vocals, massive voices, choral music, brass and massed strings - through my Audioquest Type 6+, which is not in Canare. I knew it wasn't a Canare artifact just smoothing out the high frequencies because the high frequencies weren't present in the Sennheiser HD600 headphones either, only through the Audioquest feeding my speakers. Turns out the distortion I was hearing wasn't coming from my DAC, it was coming from the Audioquest Type 6+. Now the music sounds very clear and transparent, but not painful or cold. The music just flows straight from the source you're playing. At $80-$100 for an 8-10 foot pair, this is a great value. Outperforms my twice the price Audioquest.
