This cable worked for what I was trying to do. But only the cable. I haven't even tried the program, mainly because I don't have a CD drive. What I was trying to do was pull the PIN out of my 2003 VW Jetta Wagon TDI so I could program the new keys. I won't describe the whole process in detail here, but just in case someone is stopping by: I found and downloaded VAG Commander 2.5, I found and downloaded drivers for VAG KKL cables like this one. I set COM port according to .ini file in VAG Commander 2.5 folder. It took ages to figure it out. But eventually I came up with a PIN that worked when I unplugged that cable and then used my Ross-Tech VCDS certified cable and software. 3 stars simply because the cable does not work with the supplied software and is very cheaply made.
