I ordered these for my son in anticipation of a trip to the snow. When we opened them up for him to try on, he immediately declared that he loved them. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he wore them like pajamas for a week and I had a hard time pulling him out of them. But when I had to wash them, I noticed that the "silky" (meaning polyester) outside had already started to curl. When I got them out of the dryer, the elastic band was already warped. I wouldn't expect them to survive a long, harsh winter. I will only buy 100% cotton thermal underwear again. ----------------------------------------UPDATE (March 14, 2019): After my initial 2-star rating I was contacted by the seller who said I must have received a bad pair and offered to send me another one at no extra charge! I was so pleasantly surprised and accepted their offer. We received the new pair very quickly and opened them immediately. This pair REALLY felt a little thicker and softer. My son wanted to wear them straight away and was amazed at how comfortable they are. He loves her more than anything. He's had them for at least a week now and this pair hasn't pilled at all. I ended up taking them off and washing them, and after washing they turned out to be much better! I'm in total shock. I really appreciate the activity of the seller. It's always a pleasant surprise these days. Thanks for that!
