Very very happy with this product. My television has gone from being a fairly obvious and unattractive fixture in my living room to a stylish and less obtrusive part of it. ProsStylish: I really like the wooden legs which inspired me to choose this product. It looks great in the room. Wood is very different from the metal and plastic you see on most coasters. Durability: The wood is quite strong and easily supports my 65 inch TV. Convenient: The stand allows the TV to swivel so I can turn it over and watch TV from my kitchen or just turn it around when outside light is in the way. Pick it up But my TV has a bulge in the base which caused me to remove the lock washer holding it in place. Disadvantages Note: Most of these disadvantages are not actually product defects, but merely considerations when choosing a tripod over another type. Danger of tipping: First of all, the stand is quite stable and I would never worry about it falling down on its own. This is only a consideration if you have a violent dog or a child who can lunge at him full force. The product includes a thin metal cable to secure it to the wall in case it tips over. I didn't install it because I live alone and it doesn't bother me. Hanging cords: you need to position it next to an outlet, so that hanging cables are not too noticeable. The assembly starts out a bit confusing, but then quickly: it took me about 5-10 minutes to figure out the instructions (mainly pictures) as they come with 8 types of screws and a couple of washers. When I found out they were options only, I ignored the instructions and used washers as made sense for my TV with the correct screws. It took 30-40 minutes from start to finish. Moving is impractical for large TVs: I have a 65" TV and could barely hold it up myself (mine is 6ft 4" and 225), so I think most people will need a second person to hold it to lift. Someday I needed someone to turn my legs while holding the tv. No space for remote controls and other devices: My TV is a smart TV, so I don't have a set-top box or DVD player. Player. If so, I think your best bet would be a small discreet stand alongside it. What I did was make a small remote control holder and attached it to the back of the TV so I could keep the remotes there when not in use. Overall I think it's a great product and I really have to say it's a great job. EleTab.
