Review on 🔌 J-Tech Digital HDMI Mini Splitter - 2 Port Powered Super Mini Splitter for Full HD with 3D Capability, 1x2 1080P@60HZ by Victor Garro

If it says HDMI Splitter, it really is. Through no fault of J-Tech or Revain (and probably pointing the finger at my ignorance), this device doesn't like an HDMI signal or pass it through to the HDMI-to-DVI adapter. Explanation: I have two ViewSonic monitors. on my PC with extended desktop. I'm using VGA on one and DVI on the other as these particular monitors (ViewSonic VA2246M) don't have HDMI inputs. So on my Dell computer I use the VGA out for one and the HDMI out for one HDMI to DVI adapter cable for the DVI in of the other. So I bought this J-Tech JD. HDMI splitter for duplicating video on a DVI monitor and streaming to my HDTV (with HDMI input). Again, the ViewSonic's DVI input is connected from the PC via an HDMI-to-DVI adapter cable. The HDMI signal from my PC entered the J-Tech box and went through the box to Output 2 and to my HDTV, but the ViewSonic monitor (Output 1 on the J-Tech box) was dark. . The fact is that it went to sleep mode due to the lack of an input signal. Disabling HDTV from the output on J-Tech did nothing. The ViewSonic DVI monitor stayed dark. Notice that the "Present" signal LEDs on the J-Tech box are lit. Even spare sockets; Disabling everything and reloading didn't do anything. So this J-Tech appears to be strictly for true HDMI signals, not "customized". Again no fault of the manufacturer. Just a warning to others who may have mixed or matched HDMI systems. I gave it 3 stars because apparently it means "everything is fine" and that's how I feel. I'm keeping a box of J-Tech for other possible uses in the future. Maybe I'll edit this review then.
