Review on πŸ”‘ PRIME-LINE E 2402 Re-Keying Kit for Schlage Brand Locks - Pre-Cut Keyed Lockset Rekey Kit, Type C 5-Pin Style Locks - One Key System by Deep Echemendia

Mostly harmless - I mean useless!

This replacement key set is less secure than the original lock and will most likely not let you get the new lock to match the ones you already have. Pennies for a real pair of tweezers, that would be a 4 star set. How is it? 1 star because they are so cheap. You're better off buying a Schlage 0-9 pin set with a few basic tools for $20-30 if you already have a key that you want to combine a couple of locks with. Biggest problem: There are only 5 pin sizes in this set, but Schlage locks use 10 pin sizes, #0 - #9. In practice, this means that this set can only replace the lock with the key from this set. Depending on the key you get with your kit, you can only craft 2-3 locks (roll your eyes). Pins #0-#9. With a reduced set of 5 pin sizes, the locks are just less secure and easier to pick. If you've EVER taken a lock and all the cuts in the key are the same depth, then it's an easy lock to pick. (That's pretty much all you get in this set.) You should see some high cuts alongside some low keys that will make the lock more secure. Otherwise, the quality of the tools in the set is mostly mediocre and the tweezers an absolute cheek. They are *completely useless*.
