Review on Acer XR382CQK Bmijqphuzx: The Ultimate 37.5" Curved Screen with Response Technology, 3840X1600P, and 75Hz by Mike Krzywicki

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor for entertainment and work. The stand is a bit big.

There are no pixel problems. The menu navigation is hidden on the back on the right edge and is easy to use. Connected with USB-C cable. There are 4 self-powered USB ports on the back. Built-in 7-watt speakers are quite loud. Warning. The monitor stand, while great, is very deep and takes up most of my desk (as pictured) which puts the monitor too close to the front edge. I already had a wall mount installed so that's not a problem. Be sure to buy one that's rated for the extra weight. Experience: I bought it for WFH instead of a dual monitor setup. So far, it's worth every penny, both visually and functionally. The split screen in the middle behaves like two monitors with a resolution of 1920 x 1600. Three websites fit comfortably on it side by side. This monitor is designed to open crazy Excel spreadsheets. Linux Setup - Window Manager: I installed two screen managers: fakexrandr and pygrid. Fakexrandr tricks the system into thinking I have multiple monitors, resulting in graphic glitches, system warnings, and most importantly, that it's unnecessary. Sometimes I need to maximize a window to full screen and reset fakexrandr. Pygrid is a lightweight application that allows me to use shortcuts to place windows where I want. gigantic. 49 inches can be a little overwhelming. Who knows, maybe I'll buy it next time.
