I love this game because the storytelling, events, maps etc really builds it up and the miniatures really tickle your imagination. It's pretty cool even if your group isn't particularly into it. However, it's pretty easy to play up your character a bit or add a little flair to the attack phases. It seems to me that this game is a cross between XCOM and DnD on rails. I like this approach because the few times I've played DnD, the GM hasn't usually been well prepared, and half the time I feel like we're not doing anything or advancing the story. Biggest scam I've seen. Some missions heavily focus on Imperials or Rebels. You definitely need to do some tweaking to make it interesting. Several times I forgot to do something as an Imperial player that made it easier or harder for the Rebels. However, you can easily add additional rewards as the campaign progresses to compensate. The rules are a bit complicated as 'Learn to Play' isn't as useful as the actual rulebook in my opinion. Several times I had to turn to the forums and for special circumstances, since some of the rules are very vague and difficult to understand what exactly should happen. I would definitely check out how to play on youtube.
