When I got this I knew I was going to love it because the $20 launch reader is awesome! After opening this code reader and following the setup procedures, I tried it on my 2003 F150 which I know has problems and I know what they are. I plugged it in and ran it and the information this reader gives is amazing. This one told me the same thing as my cheaper model but in more detail with a report I was able to print out. I've looked through the modes and options and it seems to cost $200 or more. You can choose from up to 5 reset modes, which is perfect if you're a home mechanic like me. I really only work by myself and maybe some friends. This is definitely a great investment if you do any mechanical work yourself. Launch code readers are exactly what you need if you are looking for them in the market. The model depends on what you're doing and how much you have to spend, and the 305 is a great product in every way.
