Review on Enhanced SEO: 3M 1080 CF12 / CFS12 Black Carbon Fiber 60x12 Vinyl Flex Wrap by Andrew Carrao

Probably the best vinyl choice for the DIY enthusiast

Although this is probably the most expensive vinyl, it is also probably the highest quality in terms of looks, application and durability. I have used this material in a variety of ways for some time. From paintball gear/parts, car parts, cell phone and laptop cases. Looks very realistic, design and pattern that is 3D and textured to really look like carbon fiber. Some cheaper brands definitely skimp on this aspect. They sell a variety of carbon fiber colors (more black, silver/black, and gold/black I think). So do your research and check if this is the best option for you. The vinyl I've worked with is one of the simplest. Very good stretchability and withstands heat well, which helps even more. If this is your first time doing this and using heat (hair dryer or heat gun) remember that with this material a lot of heat goes a long way. much less than expected. If you are packaging an item with curves or contours I would recommend this product to others that I have used. Durability. First, let me say that I rarely apply adhesion primers or primers to aid in this adhesion. I find this makes it difficult to remove and/or leaves a sticky stain (and there will most likely be a time when you want to remove it). It takes a long time to scratch or damage this product. The two items that really show its durability are my car's front spoiler and the barrel of my paintball gun. The car is out in Virginia, so hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Two years and never a problem with peeling or damage. As it is the underside I cannot confirm any sun damage. The barrel is pulled weekly on the ground and various elements. Again, almost no wear. A word to the wise, if this is your first time wrapping and you are doing a large area, you can buy two rolls. It doesn't go as far as you would expect given the roll you get compared to your idea of 5 inch material. This also gives you an extra opportunity to practice or wrap the item a second time. It's indulgent packaging, but it's easier to apply in videos than it really is (it's not difficult by any means, but you can expect a bit of a learning curve). I would recommend it and give it four stars. This is a high quality material and is especially good if you are new to the item packaging. I'm deducting a star for the price. You can find good wraps for a lot less, but there's a lot going on here. Many of the cheaper options aren't that easy, even for inexperienced home users (sometimes spending extra money saves you time, effort, and sometimes even money in the long run).
