I bought this phone 10 months ago because of its incredibly cool looks and ringtone selection. It was a huge step up from the awful 900MHz AT&T cordless phone I had before, which made the simple task of answering a call problematic. The speakerphone and speakerphone modes are great, as is the ease of programming the phone. . Unfortunately, there is a very slight but noticeable hum in the earpiece, and when I record outgoing messages to voicemail, I find the mic amplifying my voice even in a quiet room with background noise; it feels like I'm speaking on the speakerphone. Also, the earbud is highly directional - if I move my ear up or down the headset just a little, I can't hear the caller anymore. The headphone problem was solved when I bought the headset. (I was uncomfortable with the 2.4GHz transmitter parked next to my brain, preferring to keep my hands free on long calls). acceptably good.
