I like soldering electronics, but I'm also seriously concerned about my health. The solder fume seems to go where there is a draft and if you work nearby it will go straight into your nose/mouth. With this fan, however, it creates a constant wind and sucks in all the smoke. It passes through a carbon filter and is neutralized. We use them at home and in the office to keep solder fumes and smoke out of our lungs. You just can't assess your health, so if you're soldering - GET ONE.
