Ties in front and a belt in front to keep everything secure. So if you're taller than me or taller than me, you can sit low if you bend forward. They covered my knee. If I was a little taller they would be above my knee. Keep that in mind when you grow up. Very durable fabric pads on the tailbone, knees, sides and front I am happy with it and delivered quickly!
