Works well, the lid stays open even when filling at a 90 degree angle (unlike many others).

Our first electric kettle was glass and attractive (Hamilton Beach I think) but the lid didn't stay open on its own when filled with water and therefore didn't open the full 90 degrees for you had to hold it alone with one hand and with the other hold the lid open and awkwardly tip it to try to fill it, usually spilling water. We decided to give it a try because the review mentioned that the lid opens 90 degrees and stays open on its own, which it actually does. This is much more user friendly and very easy to fill out. I highly recommend this one!
