I ordered this add-on for different reasons than what I've known so far. I've gotten them to help me with tissue repair and regeneration and for general well-being. My mom went bald 20 years ago and I also learned that amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins in the body, can promote hair growth/prevent hair loss. What I got after just one pill was totally unexpected and amazing. .Since my gallbladder came out in 2010 I've had some pretty serious stomach issues and terrible acid issues. I have been taking omeprazole for many years. When I received this bottle of amino acids and was told to take it on an empty stomach, I went insane. I shouldn't eat or drink anything until I take omeprazole and let it shut down those PPIs in my stomach and reduce the acidity. I stared at both bottles, not knowing what to do, then said to hell with it, I will. So I took an amino acid supplement and kept my meds on hand. I wanted to give him 30 minutes to light his stomach and get into the bloodstream before he takes the PPI. While waiting for those 30 minutes, my stomach acid dropped. Then it went down a bit. Then it stopped. Holy cow! I know that L-glutamine is the amino acid said to be best for stomach upset, and this supplement doesn't contain glutamine, BUT what's in that bottle saved me from taking omeprazole -- at least for now. I will update if that changes. The bottle says take 3 times a day on an empty stomach, but mine is usually only empty in the morning. For now I'm going to try to figure out how much I need to keep this acid at bay because now that I know it helps solve this problem I'm going to take it. Anything else will be a side effect. Update: This result didn't last long and I'm back on Omeprazole. However, after taking them for a few months, my energy increased and I didn't feel good until I started taking at least one along with other supplements. My hair is growing like weeds too! I will keep ordering!
