On November 22, I got my hands on the comnsole and was able to "play without borders" for almost two weeks. Already in the first days, thecomnsole turned off on its own, but I reassured myself that this was due to the raw firmware and could be corrected with ates. But alas, the miracle did not occur, and on the 6th of December, thecomnsole ceased functioning. This is how it seems to me. v=JU5S_9wSlzI. Sony customer service offered to coordinate a repair and said they'd dispatch a courier within three business days. It's been four years, and I still haven't heard anything, despite their assurances that "there was a delay and my application was transferred to work." I also inquired about the availability of a temporary replacement device during the repair process and was informed that this was not possible (I intend to formally request a replacement device via written application). The worst part is that Sony has promised a refund if the console can't be fixed, but they won't be able to provide a replacement because parts are no longer being manufactured. In fact, for the same reason, I won't be able to buy a new console for myself with this money (if I can't in 2022, I certainly won't be able to in 2022, and I doubt there will be a desire to). It's a shame because I invested both time and money into it (I bought a few games and signed up for a yearly subscription and now I'm hoping at least the subscription will be renewed). The fact that Sony will forever be linked to my ruined New Year's celebrations is a tragedy, too. Please contact me at the following phone if you are from Sony: 21475724. The console was collected by a courier from a shipping firm on the 15th of December. The console's head unit was changed and returned to me on December 23rd, I was informed. It would appear that the worst-case scenario did not materialize.
