I was delighted to assemble and use this little scope. I've been using a small stereoscope for years, but I needed a camera, so I tried this small digital endoscope. It's fine for the low magnification I need, not so good at the advertised 1200x magnification, but it can be used at higher magnifications. On the plus side, the rig has a rechargeable battery that will power the lights and display for at least an hour without being plugged into the mains. Focus is a bit sensitive when in use, this is not a stick with a stand. and the gear is a knurled ring, just like a traditional scope, rotating straight. And this isn't a true "zoom" view as advertised, as it needs to be refocused when the head is moved up or down to adjust the magnification. But it can be focused sharply and has adjustable magnification. I find this to be great value for anyone wanting a good video or photo of biological specimens or inscribed coins. Dish in search of microscopic eggs and hatched worms. Spoiled from years of working with a stereoscope, I find it much easier to use instruments with stereo sound and greater depth of field than a scope. I bought a trinocular stereoscope and camera, that I've always dreamed of. I had to pay almost $600 for this setup. Of course, the new scope with binocular stereo and large optics looks and feels better too. But for about $100. I don't think this little scope could be any cheaper if you don't need stereo vision. I sold this scope on eBay after using it for a few days, added an SD card and returned it. $80 from a lucky buyer. It cost $20 to see an inexpensive digital scope could be this good.
