Original Shimano branded brake pads are a perfect match for Shimano factory brakes. Installation wasn't too difficult after watching a few tutorial videos online. These pads provide reasonably smooth (vibration-free) braking and proper function. They don't bite much and wear out in 1200 miles. Trust me I could have gotten cheaper aftermarket pads with better grip or durability but didn't want to mess with the risk of poor fit or functionality from other brands. Size/design matters, one that is even slightly different will not fit. When in doubt, first remove the old pads to verify the correct replacement before purchasing.
