Review on ⚙️ ABN 1/2in Drive 8in Long Torque Socket Extension Bar, 65 ft/lb CR-MO with Green Color-Coded Aluminum Ring - Enhanced Stability and Precision for Torque Applications by Duane Kerr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Close enough and that's good!

This is actually pretty accurate. I gave it 4 stars because there is some difference in torque when I tested it with a snap torque wrench. At the same time, the difference was close enough not to cause problems for most applications. Generally, the deviation was within 5 foot-pounds. This may be related to the impact angle of the impact wrench, as there isn't always enough clearance to line up the nut exactly with the 8" extension. I've encountered a discrepancy with some motor mounting bolts, for example. But like I said, a few foot- Pounds aren't the deciding factor for most things I would be wary of something like head bolts or whatever but then again you always have to be careful with head bolts lest things change.

Pros
  • BUILT FOR DURABILITY: Constructed of chrome-molybdenum steel (CR-MO) and manganese phosphate for maximum strength and durability, rust and drop resistant; A green, color-coded aluminum ring identifies this extension as 65 feet per pound (90 Newtons/meter); The size is also laser engraved on the stem for quick identification.
Cons
  • Not sure
