Good humidifier for changing the microclimate around a group of plants. It doesn't give off enough moisture to add much moisture to a room if you want to counteract the dry air from the winter heat. Somewhat unusual is the use of double wicks to deliver moisture from the reservoir to the highest point where the mist is formed. I think it also limits the amount of moisture the device produces. A small window on the side of the device shows the ambient humidity, which is a very nice feature. The instructions clearly state that you should only use tap water; no distilled or other water. The instructions also warn against adding essential oils to the water. I think it's the wick. I think the oils will stop the wick from working. The water tank holds about a liter (or 1 liter) of water. This results in several hours of use due to the somewhat limited performance. This is best used to control the climate around a group of plants rather than trying to use it as a whole room humidifier.
