Terrible, horrible, terribly built. back and it was like hell putting it together and it's gotten weaker and more brittle since I put it together. Also, MIDWEST has NO CONTACT OR CUSTOMER SUPPORT so when I needed parts replaced I had to go to petsmart who should supply another cage and then sell the parts. Ferret Cage: I don't know why I bought this cage. Maybe that's all the comments I've heard about the better quality of ferrets. Maybe it was because it was on sale and I thought it was a great deal. Whatever it was, it wasn't worth it. There were a lot of scuffs and scratches from the moment I opened it, which wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. There were a few pieces that weren't cut to the right length, there were pieces that were misshapen, there were pieces that I HAD to BEAT to bend them to an angle that actually fits. It took me almost 3 HOURS to assemble this thing. I ended up peeling the paint trying to fit the wrong parts, which is a problem because of possible rust. Speaking of rust, rust had already formed in several places. WHERE IS THE QUALITY CONTROL? DO THESE GUYS TEST THEIR OWN PRODUCTS? I ended up having to assemble the parts in a different order than the instructions because the parts didn't fit together! If I had the time, I would build my own cage, but I'm a full-time student and work part-time. I just finished Midwest and will never buy anything from them again. If I ever need a cage again I will get it from another company that knows what quality means and actually has an existing customer support team.
