He's not freezing! on nuts
I have used this on a willow pipe that has had a cap for many years. The problem is that when it freezes, the lid breaks. Of course, repairing a water pipe in frost is not very pleasant. Before installing the connector, I put on two pipe clamps and hand-tightened them as much as I could. (screwdriver), then installed the connector and unscrewed it fairly tightly. No leakage, nothing freezes. I am very happy.
