Amazing riddle!

This was my first 3D wooden puzzle that I built while staying at home in Cove-19 which helped fill in for several hours! My wife called me a genius after watching it work once completed, even though it was built for my grandson's 9th birthday. I had trouble following the excellent wordless illustrations to help with a really good metal practice, although I had to use a magnifying glass to check the location of the pieces. I crossed out drawings when I was sure I was done, which also told me where I left off. I glued a few tiny pins and an accidental connection when the pin part came loose while setting the gear assembly in place. Luckily, I was able to reach it with a glue-tipped toothpick without disassembly. My real boo-boo came when, after trial and error, I found that I was using the "lift wheel" backwards! Difficult to fix due to the spacers attached, but I laid it on its side and managed to bring the shaft back without dropping the spacers. Another good riddle. I will recommend my son-in-law to buy another one to put with my grandson. I can't think of a better father-son project for these 'new normal' times! Right now I'm looking at pendulum clocks as my next project, or since my wife loves jigsaw puzzles this might work as a project for her! Or maybe not. Once she sees how easy it is, she won't call me a genius anymore!
