The cheap one-cup coffee maker died (began to make less than a full cup when cleaning did not help), so I looked for a more reasonable one inexpensive replacement, this time with a tank. I chose this device. Received a few days earlier than promised. 👍 I went through the preparation process and the first cup of coffee was excellent, no foreign aftertaste. I opted for an optional paper filter with a loose coffee mode as I wasn't 100% sure about the permanent filter and got an excellent cup of coffee with minimal cleaning (quick rinsing) of the necessary permanent filter. I tried without the paper filter and was glad there was very little soil left at the bottom of the cup. 👍 It took a little longer to clean the filter, but nothing critical. The ability to use a K-cup or loose coffee and multiple cup sizes are pluses. The tank is a bit awkward to remove to fill, but you might need to get to know it better and of course you can always fill it on site. It made a full 12-ounce cup of coffee much quicker than my old coffee maker, and the auto shut-off is a nice feature that my old one didn't have. 👍 I've only had this device for a few days, but I'm very satisfied and can recommend it.
