So a few things. The shelves are amazing how I lay them out. The point with these racks is that you have to make sure you tighten all the bolts both inside the rack (below the hole, it's obvious) and make sure you center it on the roof bars. If you do that, you can hit 100 mph, and those things won't budge an iota. I've had them for about a month now and keep checking them to make sure they aren't moving. I feel like the people who wrote the negative reviews didn't know what to do and assumed it was a manufacturing defect. Also the locks work great, I have no problems at all. Out of all the good product the reason for 4 stars is because I like the metal hardware and had a lot of plastic (albeit durable) I would still like to see metal braces. Like I said, overall it's amazing for the price that can get me through this whole cold New England winter.
