Review on πŸ› οΈ ToughBuilt Miter Saw Stand TB-S550: Universal Tool Mounts with Extending Work Supports, Work Stops, and Quick Release Tool Mounts by John Pound

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very solid, no cheap materials

Very solid construction. Legs and arms extend effortlessly, are securely fixed and very durable even when fully extended. The quick release arms are strong and when unlocked allow the saw to slide back and forth on the rails very smoothly. The tires are hard rubber, not cheap plastic, so they grip and roll on most [acceptable] surfaces. I hauled this unit up the stairs with a 12 inch sliding joint with no problems. The handle is plastic but feels solid. I wouldn't recommend lifting the entire unit with the saw by the handle if it's as heavy as mine. In the "walk" (legs bent) position, it does not balance with my connected saw. However, mine is one of the largest and heaviest you can find. Smaller miter saws can be secured and stored upright. Now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't store mine upright even if I could, I think over time this could cause the saw to go out of alignment.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
