Review on Harun Speaker 2 Spade Plated Cables by Sandra Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Serious, durable speaker cable

I have purchased several pairs of Harun speaker cables (3', 6' and 8') to clean the connections on my stereos. . Prior to this purchase I used bare wires at each end and found it ridiculous to invest good money in high quality stereos and it all depended on twisting (twisting and twisting) the torn ends of cheap bare wires. I chose 12 gauge Harun wire with spade tips, long enough so that the extra wires don't end up on the ground. Harun cables are excellent - thick, clean and reliable and well priced. I just can't afford the astronomical prices for some cables. (And if I could afford it, I wouldn't pay that much.) Each wire is color-coded around the blade. What helps. It's a bit of a nitpick, but the color is too subtle - the word "digital" is printed in either red or black. It would be easier for the user to live if the entire collar was colored (or even better if the wires themselves were red and black instead of all blue). The spades are big and thick. Because of this, they're too big to fit into the screw connections of vintage stereos, but they're probably made with modern hardware in mind. (I used separate point terminals so they would work with spring terminals on two stereos. See photos.) Spades are easy to use with receivers, amplifiers, and speakers that have relatively large terminals. Finally no more twisting of bare wires! Very good speaker cables, clean with professional processing. You deserve a quality stereo system.
