I have not noticed any positive reviews from advertising sources. So I'm an idiot for that. Here is my experience of unboxing the thermometer which I will return.1. It beeps constantly, not when it needs your attention, only when the thermometer is on.2. In an ordinary kitchen, you won't hear a beep - just enough to be annoying, like "What's that weird little noise!?"3. Ordinary people cannot open the battery compartment.4. The magnet is not strong enough to hold the thermometer; it slides down the front of the oven door.5. The "finger notch" is too shallow to lift the probe - you will need a screwdriver or other tool.6. The temperature display is small, red, low-contrast. I had to turn off the light to read it. I have no idea if the thermometer is accurate or not - it has too many obvious design flaws to risk for a good piece of meat. go back!
