Husband LOVES this. Bought this based on other reviews saying you can't go wrong and luckily they were right! My husband is on his second brew now. It takes time and dedication to the process, and it will stink in your house by brew night, but if you're interested in brewing your own beer and aren't just curious about it, this kit is a great place to start. . The company offers a lot of support and information, as well as a place to buy additional recipes and supplies. One thing we haven't thought of is storage. Spirit. Obviously bottles are the answer so we bought two packs of 24 bottles (they made it cheaper) and the next set. My husband also bought a bottle holder, sterilizer, thermometer, detergent and sterilizing solution. Maybe he bought a few more things that went unnoticed. I told him he already had to chill his expenses. He still WANTS a hydrometer to measure the alcohol content. In any case, you really need the materials if you want to brew more drinks. :D So keep in mind that the starter kit is great, but you will definitely see some extra costs after you buy it. However, my husband thoroughly enjoys the process (he's a reader and has spent some time learning the different steps of brewing and avoiding various rookie mistakes. And, in case you're wondering, the first batch was delicious). This is a great bonus and an incentive to keep doing more.
