The pump is as advertised and puts out 1290 pounds at 3 gpm and 1500 rpm that I measured. It's a 12-vane pump, but that doesn't have much of an advantage. What I don't know without taking it apart is that it's a Type 185 pump with deeper vanes and a domed cap. Deeper blades give higher idle power. My problem with the steering is that at low speed the steering locks up on the brakes (there is power steering). Foot off the brake and the steering returns. Update 7/15/22, I took the pump apart to test just to see what it's made of. I found a .026 gasket under the valve which I removed to increase the pressure. The valve had an outlet of 0.161. Pressure plate, pressure plate, ring and rotor were standard low flow parts rather than concave covers and thicker parts.
