The remote control that came with the TV a few years ago stopped working without sorting the contacts for the batteries. Tired, ordered new ones. It worked fine for about a month, then it reverted to the problem the original remote had. I have to use sandpaper on the battery contacts every few days to make it work. trash, trash, trash.
