Everything worked right away except it didn't give me a list of apps when I set it to HDMI1. I couldn't find any information about this on the internet. I'll throw that away. It's not worth spending money on Revain to get it back. Purchased a universal remote from another seller.

I bought a universal remote and wrote the programming code for it and it does most of the remote's functions except for input which is very important these days. Then I ordered this from the same manufacturer as my TV (Vizio) and all the buttons on the remote work including the input. The price was the same as the generic.

The remote control that came with the TV a few years ago stopped working without sorting the contacts for the batteries. Tired, ordered new ones. It worked fine for about a month, then it reverted to the problem the original remote had. I have to use sandpaper on the battery contacts every few days to make it work. trash, trash, trash.
